**Please Note**

  • All Community Service opportunities are for South Country Library patrons only. All others seeking community service hours must visit their home library.
  • Any paperwork needed to be signed can be done so Monday to Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Young Adult Desk, unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • All requests for additional community service projects beyond what is offered must be made at least one week in advance to the YA Librarian. Additional projects are not always available and depend on the library’s needs.
  • Help plan library programs, earn community service, and meet new people.
  • Volunteers are needed to clip and sort coupons that will be sent to military families on bases in the United States and abroad.
  • Volunteers are needed to help out during our Blood Drive. For more information please stop by the YA Desk.
  • Volunteers are needed to sort seeds into packets for the upcoming season of the Seed Library.
  • Volunteers are needed to clip and sort coupons that will be sent to military families on bases in the United States and abroad. You may earn a maximum of 2 hours of community service once a month. Coupons are available in the YA Department.

Book Reviews

  • Read a new YA Book (fiction, non-fiction, graphic novel, e-book or audiobook). Submit a review to earn a certificate for 1.5 community service hours. You can do a maximum of 3 book review a month. Books can be found in the library catalog or on Overdrive  Please fill out the review form and return it to the YA Desk. Book Review Form
  • Assist the Young Adult and Reference Department with various projects. Projects are on an as needed basis. Please fill out the application and return to the YA Desk.  Volunteer Application
