Information For Voters
The date for district residents to vote for the budget and library’s trustees will be Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the library. You will be electing two trustees to three-year terms. Recipients of the two highest vote counts will fill terms until 2026. Newly elected trustees will be seated at the May 18 meeting of the Board. This is your chance to participate in the support of a truly local democratic institution. Please remember to come to the library and cast your ballot.
VOTING DAY: Tuesday, April 4, 2023, 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the library Community Room. Applications for absentee ballots are available online here or at the office of the Clerk of South Country School District.
WHO CAN VOTE: You must be a registered voter. You may register to vote in a library election if you are a citizen of the U.S., 18 years of age, and have been a resident of the South Country School District for at least 30 days.
VOTER REGISTRATION: You can register in person at Suffolk County Board of Elections, 700 Yaphank Ave., Yaphank, NY 11980. Call 631-852-4554 to request a voter application.
