Teen Volunteers

Volunteer banner

  • We are seeking volunteers to assist the library staff at our Tech Fair in November. If you are interested in helping, please stop by the YA Desk for more information.
  • Volunteers are needed to help the Bellport Village with their annual event. Sunday volunteers (Take Down) will meet at the Bellport Highway Yard.

Teen Advisory Group

  • Help us decorate the teen department, eat pizza and let us know what programs and materials you would like to see at the library. Community Service hours awarded.  Held every other month from September through June.
  • Volunteers are needed to help staff during the annual potluck and concert.
  • Recycle old books into Holiday decorations to display at the library.

 Craft Fair Volunteers

  • Volunteers are needed to assist at the South Bay Art Association’s Holiday Craft Fair and staff with the Holiday photos.
  • Volunteers are needed to clip and sort coupons that will be sent to military families on bases in the United States and abroad. You may earn a maximum of 2 hours of community service once a month. Coupons are available in the YA Department.

Book Reviews

  • Read a new YA Book (fiction, non-fiction, graphic novel, e-book or audiobook). Submit a review to earn a certificate for 1.5 community service hours. You can do a maximum of 3 book review a month. Books can be found in the library catalog or on Overdrive  Please fill out the review form and return it to the YA Desk. Book Review Form

Garden Club

  • The YA Dept. is looking for teen volunteers to help with our vegetable garden from March through October.  Please see the YA Librarian if you are interested in helping.  Community service credit is available.

Library Volunteer

  • Assist the Young Adult and Reference Department with various projects. Projects are on an as needed basis. Please fill out the application and return to the YA Desk.  Volunteer Application
