All Community Service opportunities are for South Country Library patrons only. All others seeking community service hours must visit their home library.
Any paperwork needed to be signed can be done so Monday to Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Young Adult Desk, unless prior arrangements have been made.
All requests for additional community service projects beyond what is offered must be made at least one week in advance to the YA Librarian. Additional projects are not always available and depend on the library’s needs.
The Teen Department will again be creating a vegetable garden outside the Teen Room windows. Join us as we plan, build, plant, and harvest our garden throughout the spring and summer. Community service will be provided.
Volunteers are needed to clip and sort coupons that will be sent to military families on bases in the United States and abroad. You may earn a maximum of 2 hours of community service once a month. Coupons are available in the YA Department.
Read a new YA Book (fiction, non-fiction, graphic novel, e-book or audiobook). Submit a review to earn a certificate for 1.5 community service hours. You can do a maximum of 3 book review a month. Books can be found in the library catalog or on Overdrive Please fill out the review form and return it to the YA Desk. Book Review Form
