We have Summer Reading Clubs for all ages! From newborn to 100 years old, there’s chances for fun and prizes for everyone this summer!

How do I sign up and log books?

Sign up for all clubs and logging of books begins on Monday, June 29th.

All 3 Summer Reading Clubs (Children’s, Teens, or Adults) will be using the online program READSquared for sign up and for logging books. Click here to go to the READSquared website and create your account, you can also download the READsquared app from the Google Play or Apple App store for easy access. No Internet? No problem. We have options for those who can’t or are not comfortable using this system. You will be able to sign-up via phone and log books via phone or mail using paper logs.

See individual programs below for details on paper logs and how each club works. Call us at 631-286-0818 for any questions or contact us via e-mail (see departmental e-mail addresses below). Also please follow our Facebook page for more information!

What can I read?

Any thing you’d like! Any format of book is acceptable…picture books, print books, e-books, audio-books, graphic novels. We’re offering curbside pickup of materials so please call us to find and reserve books to pickup. You can also use the free Libby app (available for Android and iOS) for e-books for all ages.

Children’s Summer Reading Club (Newborn to entering 5th Grade in September)

Record your minutes online, or on the paper reading record or call us at 631-286-0818 x2 and let us know. Due to circumstances, this year there will be NO WEEKLY VISITS.

At the end of the club, we’ll either have you pick up a prize OR we may have to mail a prize envelope home, depending on circumstances at the time. We’ll also be raffling off 7 prize bags at the end of the program along with doing our Lucky Ticket Raffle. We may have to do a virtual version of the Lucky ticket raffle but more details are to come so be sure to check back.

We’ll also have weekly challenges! Each week do an optional fun, easy screen-free activity like box fort building and more. Each challenge you do counts as 90 mins of reading! Challenges will be posted online and at the library.
