Due to lack of volunteers, there are no AARP Tax-Aide services in our area, including South Country Library, Patchogue-Medford and Center Moriches libraries. AARP is not offering traditional in-person tax assistance at any Long Island location this year due to COVID-19.
Resources to consider as you decide how best to prepare taxes this year:
The Health and Welfare Council of Long Island is teaming with GetYourRefund.org to help you get your taxes done online. You just need to answers some questions on an online form and upload some documents using email. You will get an appointment to talk to a tax volunteer on the phone that will submit your taxes for you.
Bethpage Virtual VITA services will be available to taxpayers by completing the “Bethpage Virtual VITA Application” that will help us collect the necessary taxpayer information and tax documents in order to complete tax returns through a virtual process.
This page will help you navigate your options for e-filing. Start by determining if you qualify for Free File, which offers guided preparation.
Lists eligibility requirements for NYS Free File, other e-file options and a guide to getting started.
Includes FAQ and a link to submit any question that arises as you work on your taxes.
Check the “Tax Services in Bellport” listing from yellowpages.com (skip sponsored ads):

The library continues to provide assistance with printing out forms, copying, faxing, and technical assistance on the computers. We do not offer tax advice.
