South Country Library Quilters
Next meeting: Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.
fat quarters to trade – red, white and/or blue)
All South Country district residents are welcome to come to meetings of the South Country Library Quilters on the second Wednesday of every month. Quilters at all levels come to share their experience, and ask questions when they encounter problems, want advice, or need some inspiration from other quilters. The group has a monthly fabric swap, which is a way to increase the variety of each person’s collection, and members share information about quilt shows, new stores, and Internet sites.
*The meeting opens with “show and tell”, where participants show off their current finished projects, so if you have recently made a quilted item, please bring it to share
*The group will exchange fat quarters (a half-yard cut in half again down the middle, so that it is a rectangle approximately 18x22”) of 100% cotton fabric of good quality, (i.e. a high thread count). This month the group plans to exchange fat quarters of red, white, and/or blue prints or solids. You can bring as many fat quarters as you like, and you will get back as many as you bring. You will get tickets for the number of pieces you want to exchange, and the numbers are drawn randomly.
