HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD
PATRON MUST SHOW ID
ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF ID ARE AS FOLLOWS
*Any one of the following
- License (current)
- Picture ID with name and address (current)
*Two items in the following list may be acceptable as proof
- Automobile Registration (current)
- Voter Registration post card
- Auto insurance (current)
- Utility bill (within 60 days, if street address is shown. Could be shown as service at:)
- Major credit card bill (i.e. A&S, Macys, PC Richard)
- Cancelled check (within 60 days)
- Pay Stub (current, with name and address)
- Bank Statement
- Lease (current)
- Current tax bill
For Patrons with Post Office Boxes
- List on Voter Registration Printout
- Voter Registration card
- Utility Bill: lists on it service to and gives residence address
For patrons who rent and have no bills in their name
- A notarized statement from the homeowner stating that patron will be residing at their residence, a current bill in the homeowner’s name indicating the address of residence and identification with your name.
Property owners
- Current tax bill, cards will be issued only to persons listed on the tax bill.
- Identification with your name.
Business owners
- Current lease, cards will be issued only to persons on the lease.
- Must be verified with a current pay stub or a call to the business.
Points of Information
- It must be clear that the person resides in our school district and is not delinquent here or at any other library.
- The person must apply for the card in person.
- Children birth to 17 yrs. may obtain cards with parent present-using parent’s ID.
Registration Period for Cards
Regular Patron Cards
*Needs to be updated every 2 years.
Local Use Only Cards (available to employees at any business located in South Country District)
*1 year registration.
